I cannot begin to tell you what a kick I get out of the things people want painted in their homes to look like something else....to "fool the eye" or trompe l'Oeil. Some are very serious, others are very whimsical. I have painted a silver, engraved fork on a kitchen floor in a half million dollar kitchen and a child peaking over a window sill behind a toilet. Many things cannot be photographed with my digital camera because of the lighting but it's fun to talk about them as well as show you the pieces that I can show you. All of the works you see here are in other people's homes and they will give you an idea of what people want and of my interpretations.

It's very funny to hear stories about how people respond to some of these things...like having company that doesn't believe that something is painted and they have to touch it - to ME leaning against one of my own painted shelves and nearly falling on the floor and laughing hysterically with my client - or how a toddler got frustrated trying to pick things off of a shelf that I had painted and wailed for help from his Grammy! I hope you enjoy these and if you know of a spot where you would like to "fool someone's eye" please get in touch. I cannot wait to hear about your idea
